President Joel Pearsall recently announced that Dr. Ed Robinson has accepted the invitation to serve as interim vice president for academic affairs—an opening made available by the departure of Dr. Burton Webb, who is taking on the role of president of University of Pikeville. The appointment of Dr. Ed Robinson will be for up to 18 months.

Dr. Robinson has been serving as a member of NNU’s faculty since 2011, teaching religion courses and serving in the Spiritual & Leadership Development sector. Previously, Dr. Robinson served as president of MidAmerica Nazarene University for six years, and prior to that he was a faculty member, chief academic officer, and pastor of the chapel at Nazarene Theological Seminary over the course of 19 years.

Robinson received his undergraduate degree in religious education from NNU, a Master of Religious Education from Nazarene Theological Seminary and a Ph.D. in Educational Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

Robinson officially began his service as NNU’s interim vice president for academic affairs on January 1, 2016.
