AMA collegiate chapter earns award
The School of Business is pleased to announce that NNU’s AMA (American Marketing Association) Collegiate Chapter was a recipient of the Exemplary Collegiate Chapter Performance award for outstanding chapter planning at the AMA International Collegiate Conference in New Orleans.
AMA collegiate chapters from the United States and Puerto Rico come together to receive advice from professionals, develop their careers, engage in competitions, network with fellow marketers and explore the lively city of New Orleans, Louisiana.
"It was so inspiring to hear from known professionals in the marketing industry and get their tips for success."For the conference, co-presidents Genesis Amador (Nampa, Idaho), Cali Carpenter (Nampa, Idaho) and Lexi Tubbs (Turlock, California) were accompanied by Dean of the School of Business and AMA faculty adviser, Dr. Konya Weber. Last year, Weber was elected to serve as co-chair of the conference for three years, and this year she completed year one of her elected title.
Reflecting on her experience at the conference, Carpenter commented, “I am so thankful I had the opportunity to travel to New Orleans and represent NNU’s AMA chapter. I gained so many helpful tips about networking and how to get my career started. It was so inspiring to hear from known professionals in the marketing industry and get their tips for success.”
