Senior business students see success in Seattle

A team of senior business students took 3rd place at the Social Venture Plan Competition hosted by Seattle Pacific University in April. Their winning plan is for an app that would allow individuals to donate more easily to the local charities and organizations they want to support.

Each year, NNU offers students opportunities to be involved in various global mission projects. This summer, NNU on a Mission sent out four teams to serve communities in Liberia, Poland, Colombia, Haiti and Kenya.

Crusader Choir & Orchestra perform in South Korea

The day after NNU’s 100th Commencement, the Crusader Choir & Orchestra (CCO) left for a two-week tour across South Korea. Led by Dr. Philip Miller, this group of 40 students performed 21 concerts with audiences ranging from 500 to 2,500 people.

Made possible by Korea Nazarene University and other NNU connections, the tour is planned to be very interactive with the people and culture there. Besides music—mission work and exposure to the Korean culture will be other focuses of this multifaceted trip.

Students serve the campus and local communities

During SGA's semi-annual Serve Day, 250 students participated in 14 separate events throughout the Treasure Valley. Volunteers helped multiple churches, non-profit organizations, schools and individuals with projects that varied from painting to gardening, yard work to building a jungle gym, litter collection to visiting people.

SOLD Experience brings awareness to human trafficking

“SOLD: The Human Trafficking Experience” is coming to the NNU campus and College Church of the Nazarene to educate the community on human trafficking. Visitors to the SOLD Experience will have the opportunity to walk in the shoes of a modern-day slave.
