Senior highlight: Kraymer Lorig

May 2, 2017

Senior Kraymer Lorig is a Christian ministry major with a minor in worship leadership from Marysville, Washington. His involvement in ministry both on and off campus has impacted his college experience and his life, and helped prepare him for his future.

“Leading worship at Timeout is something that has really helped me both grow in my faith as well as grow in ministry toward others. I have been given so many opportunities to serve and help out through the campus ministry team, and I think that this, by far, has been one of my favorite things,” Kraymer said of his experience at NNU.

The ministry department has been very influential in helping Kraymer discern his call. He has had many opportunities to take concepts from the classroom and put them into action in local church communities. Through connections he has made, Kraymer has lead worship and preached at local churches in addition to speaking on campus in chapel and Timeout.

“The professors have been so generous and gracious throughout my experience in the department and I have learned so much from them. They have invested their time and their lives into me and my fellow classmates, and I have probably learned just as much from them outside of the classroom as I have inside. The friendships that have come out of us all being together over the last four years have really been an incredible blessing.”

After graduation, Kraymer is particularly excited to be getting married in June. He has accepted a job as the contemporary worship pastor at Long Beach First Church of the Nazarene in California, and will be moving there with his soon-to-be wife. He is looking forward to joining a new community and church family, and also having his future wife by his side as they start a new life chapter and journey together.
