Seeking participation in accreditation review

Northwest Nazarene University is seeking comments from the public in preparation for its 7-year full scale evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. NNU will undergo a comprehensive evaluation beginning October 19–21, 2016, by a team representing the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities. The university has been accredited by the commission since 1937 and most recently completed successful accreditation reviews for the 10-year full scale evaluation in 2006 and the Year 3 evaluation in 2012. The team will review the university’s ongoing ability to meet the commission’s Standards for Accreditation and General Institutional Requirements.

A copy of Commission Policy A-5, Public Notification and Third Part Comments Regarding Year Seven Evaluations, is available in the Standards and Policies section under Policies on the commission’s website, or by contacting the commission office at (425) 558-4224.

Comments must address substantive matters related to the quality of the institution or its academic programs and will be made available to the institution, evaluation committee and the Commission prior to the scheduled evaluation visit. Comments must be written, signed, and postmarked by September 1, 2016.
