Paul Harvey, author and University of Colorado professor, will be the first speaker in the Honors College Lecture Series. The lecture is scheduled for Thursday, September 24 at 7 p.m. in Wiley Learning Center, Feltar Lecture Hall.
The dedication ceremony for Northwest Nazarene University's newly completed campus quadrangle project will be held Thursday, September 17, at 3:30 p.m. in the center of the campus quad next to the Christ sculpture. Standing at 7½ feet, the 412-pound Christ sculpture serves as a visual reminder to those who pass Him that Christ is the Center and foundation of everything we do at NNU.
“Judy and Andy have given themselves fully to service in the Kingdom of God. They are wonderful missionaries with a deep love for the people of Papua New Guinea. They are tremendous examples of Christ-centered compassion and sacrifice,” said Dr. Bill McCoy, a colleague at Kudjip Nazarene Hospital, of NNU’s Alumnus of the Year Award recipients, the Bennetts.
Crusader student-athletes excelled well beyond just the playing fields and gym floors during the 2014-15 season. Last July, Northwest Nazarene University Athletics claimed an unprecedented honor as the Crusaders swept the season-long Great Northwest Athletic Conference Academic All-Sports title for the fifth time, tying for the most academic titles in league history.

A 2001 graduate of NNU’s School of Business, Jill (Willey) Wright has maintained the same commitment to achievement that she demonstrated while at NNU. Jill has stayed true to what it means to embody the mission of NNU—becoming God’s creative and redemptive agent in the world—exemplifying Christian character throughout her career.
Dr. James B. Weatherby, a member of the class of 1966, graduated from NNU with a Bachelor of Arts in History—education that provided the foundation for a future of success and accomplishment. This year, Weatherby was profiled in “100 Most Influential Idahoans 2015.”
U.S. News & World Report named Northwest Nazarene University one of the top universities in the West in its 2016 Best Colleges ranking that was released on September 9. In addition to ranking again with U.S. News, NNU was again named one of the best colleges in the West according to The Princeton Review.
“I am pleased with our enrollment numbers this year. But beyond the numbers, I’m delighted by the individuals I’ve personally encountered who are now calling NNU their home. Having just spent time getting to know our freshmen better at Freshman Retreat, I know this class of students will contribute greatly to the NNU community in the years ahead,” said Pearsall.
Monday, August 31, 2015, NNU celebrated the recent accreditation of its Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) program by the international Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). Achieving ABET accreditation is the culmination of an intense five-year process of program building, growth, assessment and evaluation to meet ABET’s rigorous standards.
