The SimMan is a high-tech mannequin that helps our nursing students implement and observe multiple processes and try to anticipate different things that could occur with a patient. We talked with senior nursing students who shared five ways that working with the SimMan has given them invaluable hands-on experience.
Monday evening, October 24, high school seniors, transfer students, and their parents are invited to file their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2017 school year at a free event hosted by NNU. The FAFSA submission process can often be overwhelming, and NNU’s Financial Aid and Admissions Offices hope this event can answer questions that students and parents might have.

Students and alumni are invited to attend the 5th annual Computer Science and Engineering Career Fair on Thursday, October 20. Hosted by NNU’s Career Center, this fair allows students and alumni to make internship and networking connections with local organizations. To date, 18 organizations have registered for the event with the intent of promoting their organization and recruiting students.
Performed by students in NNU’s opera workshop course and alumni, Giacomo Puccini’s opera “Suor Angelica” is the second opera in the trio known as “Il Trittico.” “Suor Angelica” tells the tragic story of noblewoman Sister Angelica who, after giving birth to an illegitimate son, was forced by her family to enter a convent.
Come grab a pre-game dinner at a new homecoming event—the Food Truck Rally. Then head on over to the gym to watch the homecoming coronation ceremony and the Crusader men’s basketball team take on Simpson University.
Come reconnect with classmates and friends at your reunion gathering and dinner during Homecoming and Family Weekend 2016! The classes of 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006 and 2011 will be celebrating reunions on Saturday, November 12.
This year's Homecoming celebration will include events to honor alumni and student veterans. Director of Veterans Services and retired Lieutenant Colonel Robert Sanchez commented, “We are honored in joining our nation by recognizing the selfless service of all of our graduates and current students who have served in the military, or are currently serving in the Armed Forces.”
Elementary teacher Jessica Whittaker (’15) shares how her NNU education—both in the classroom and in the field—directly prepared her to be an effective professional. “The fact that I was able to start off being in a classroom the beginning of my freshman year allowed for a lot of great hands-on learning.”
